Atrazine is the most commonly used herbicide in the United States and probably the world.  Atrazine contamination is so widespread that it is present in excess of 1.0 ppb even in precipitation and in areas where it is not used.  Atrazine is so widely used that this herbicide is one of the most common contaminants in ground and surface waters according to the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 1994.  There have been many gonadal studies performed at many universities across the nation, with many species of frogs.  These studies found that the males developed testicular lobules, and the females had numerous oocytes in their ovarian cavity.  It is interesting to note that the elementary element that the big chemical company professes to be so rudimentary, the human element, continues to include Atrazine as one of the ingredients in their products.   http://www.trivita.com/13113501
